Each block is a color shape, usually 3 to 5 squares. Drag it from the tray onto any open run of cells that matches that shape. Look at all three pieces before the first one lands. The order you place them often matters more than the first gap you notice.
Block Blast Unblocked gameplay
Watch the drag and drop, the line clears, and how a 3x3 square can fill the board before you hit Play.
What is Block Blast Unblocked?
Block Blast unblocked is a drag and drop puzzle on an 8x8 grid. You place the pieces yourself. Nothing falls. You cannot rotate a shape to make it fit. Fill a full row or a full column of 8 and it clears for points. The round ends the moment one of the three pieces in your tray cannot land, even if the board is not packed tight.
Each turn you get three random blocks, most of them 3 to 5 squares. Place all three before a new set appears. When a line goes solid it disappears with a short burst. Clearing several lines in one drop is what actually moves the score. There is no timer, so you can plan each move. On desktop, drag with the mouse. On a phone, drag with a finger.
If you know falling block games, the missing gravity is the whole point. The board stays exactly as you left it. That is why a random 3x3 square can end a run that looked safe, if you did not leave a hole for it.
How to Play Block Blast Unblocked

Place blocks on the grid

Complete rows or columns
A line only clears when all 8 cells in that row or that column are filled. Partial lines just sit there. Aim pieces so one drop can finish a row, a column, or both at once. When a line completes, those blocks vanish and the rest of the board stays put.

Earn points and clear space
One line is a safe clear. The real points come from combo multipliers, when one piece finishes several lines together. Leave a planned gap, wait for a long bar or a big L, then drop it so 3, 4, or even 5 lines go at once. That is how scores move past 10,000 into the 100,000 and 1,000,000 range you see in screenshots.
Leave space for the next set
This is not a stack that climbs to the top of a well. A round ends when any of the three pieces you currently hold cannot fit in the empty cells that remain. Always leave room, especially a 3x3 hole, so a large square still has somewhere to go. Pack the board too tight and that square ends the run.
Always leave room for a 3x3 square
The piece that ends most runs is the giant 3x3. The tray is random, so that square can show up on a clean board or on a board that is already cluttered. Keep a 3x3 hole open every turn. Fill that hole for a cheap single line and the next tray may have nowhere to put the square. Plenty of 10,000 runs die on that mistake.
The same idea applies to other bulky shapes. A long bar and a large L need a lane. Do not pack the middle of the board just because it looks tidy. The center is the most flexible area, and once it is gone you are stuck sliding leftovers into the edges.
How to get a high score
If you are stuck under 10,000, you are probably placing pieces as soon as they appear. Players who post 100,000 or 1,000,000 play ahead. They build a solid block of squares with a planned hole, then wait. A long straight or a fat L drops into that hole and several lines fire together. Multi line clears pay much more than a drip of singles.
Do not leave lonely empty cells in the four corners. The tray almost never gives you the exact 1x1 you need to fill them. Work from the corners inward, or keep the corners fully open. A trapped one square pocket behind a large block is a slow game over.
Before you drop anything, look at all three shapes. Sometimes the piece you wanted to place first should wait, because the second shape opens a better pocket. That pause is free. There is no timer.
Classic mode and Adventure mode
This page loads Classic mode: an endless high score chase. You keep placing until a tray piece cannot fit, and the score is the whole story.
Adventure is a level based mode on the app versions. Those stages give you a job, such as clearing a set number of gems or collecting certain colors, with a limited number of moves. Adventure is not in this browser embed. In this tab you are in Classic: survive the 8x8, stack combos, and keep the 3x3 hole open.
